Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) Community Skin Surgery Service
Widcombe Surgery, 3-4 Widcombe Parade, Widcombe, Bath BA2 4JT
The overarching aim of the service is to provide local capacity for patients with high risk lesions such as BCCs (Basal Cell Carcinomas) and/or other non-cancerous and non-malignant lesions requiring removal by surgery (where funding approval has been sought and received) that would otherwise be referred on to the Royal United Hospital NHS FT (RUH) specialist in hospital. It aims to ensure patients can be treated faster, and away from a secondary care setting. It increases total BSW capacity for the delivery of skin surgery for BANES patients.
ID Medical offers a community-based service in the heart of Bath to enable easy access for patients in the most populated parts of the Bath and North East Somerset locality.
Our service, based at Widcombe Surgery in Bath, is within a short walking distance from Bath Spa train station.
Parking can be limited around the surgery so please factor this into your journey time.
We are offering weekend clinics for patients’ convenience.
We welcome all patients referred by BANES GP practices and meeting the referral criteria, to use our Community-based Skin Surgery Service.
